The décor has always been funky ; an amazingly authentic feel of roadside dhabas, with the walls painted with various pictures of Bollywood stars and highway scenarios. There is even a taxi there! You read me right.

Coming to food, we had ordered Murgh Tandoor. Cooked to succulent perfection with a delicious blend of spices and the pleasantly-absent food colouring. We then moved on to Dum Gosht Biriyani. Fragrant rice, fried onions and spice-marinated chunks of mutton- all came together with such wonderful harmony! We had also ordered Butter Naan and Patiala Kofta. Though the latter was a bit sweet but with the naan, it went very well.

We ended our meal with Kesari Jalebi and Kheer. The jalebi was scrumptious! Absolutely scrumptious!

While I was very disappointed to find that the taxi no longer honks when you go through the door, this place is still as great as ever. The food is fantastic and they have a great vegetarian selection which is quite rare for these tandoori type places. I don't even need to say anything about the ambiance considering the whole point of the place is its amazing Bollywood theme. The service is also amazing and totally above average.

Great Food - Great Experience

Mirch Masala is a nice little restaurant next to Gariahat Pantaloons which is absolutely delightful and offers a GREAT Experience. The half-cut Taxi catches your attention as you walk in. It doubles up as a decor and the service-station.. Next the paintings on the wall surprise and amuse you. Bollywood stars selling pan, repairing cars, selling juice, singing songs and what not. Once the excitement sinks in, the tempting menu and the well laid out table keeps you thrilled. Huge servings and authentic "Dhaba Style" food makes you want more and more. I think I have spoken enough. Its time you come here and enjoy the experience and the food. A rare restaurant which ranks among my Favorites since years.
